Laser tag is a fun, fast-paced, live action game played in a large multi-level arena. The most common type of laser tag game played is the team game. Players are able to choose teams and compete against others by defending their base and destroying their enemies with their phaser.
During the 15 minute game session, players have access to shields and photons, giving each player a split-second advantage over the competitors. Players also have unlimited lives and ammunition. A player earns points when he or she stuns or deactivates an opposing player's vest. A player also earns points by destroying opposing team's bases. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Other game types include solo, capture the flag, and sudden death.
This game is every man for himself! You don't have teams and you have to just make sure you survive.
This is a team game that requires the players on the team to work together in order to capture the "flag" of the other teams and return it to your base while defending your "flag" from the other teams.
The opposing team has to destroy the enemy base three times before they capture the flag, then return to their base. In order to claim the opposing team's flag, the player has to shoot their base. If the person who captured the flag is shot before he or she claims the flag then the flag is restored to the original base.
However, a player can transfer the flag to another team mate by shooting the teammate's chest sensor. Unfortunately, if your teammate shoots you in attempt to get the flag, it will count as a kill causing the flag to return to the original base.
Sudden Death isn't for the faint of the heart. The game is very similar to Solo games, because there is no teams. It's just you... with a set number of shots and lives. Once your "lives" are up, your game is over. This game can take seconds or minutes depending on how it's played.
You don't have to stand still when you get deactivated! Take cover!
