The Equipment

Xtreme Laser Tag uses the latest equipment from Laserblast. The players wear a vest with four sensors. There is a sensor on your chest, back, and shoulders. In addition to the sensors on your vest, the phaser will be attached to the vest. All vest have adjustable straps to fit a variety of players. The vest weighs about 7lbs.

The Vest

During the game, players shoot the sensors to either stun or deactivate other players and earn points. If a player is shot in the shoulders, the vest will deactivate for a short amount of time. If a player is shot in either the chest or back, the vest will deactivate for a longer period of time. You will know you are deactivated because the vest will rumble and say, “Deactivated.” If a player is stunned, then the player will hear, “Stun.”

The chest sensor has a black square button on the left side of the sensor. This button controls your photons and shields. If you tap the button once, your gun will begin shooting rapidly. This is called a “photon” shot. To activate your shield, the player holds down the button. The shield protects you from being shot, but only lasts for a short amount of time.

The average player has three photons and shields per game, but members have five shields and photons per game.

On the other side of the black button is a metal groove. This groove is used by members in order to log into the system.

The Phaser

The phaser requires the player to use two hands. There is a sensor underneath the “barrel” of the phaser that allows the phaser to fire. The player pulls the trigger with the opposite hand in order to fire the phaser. If the player is shot in the gun, then the player becomes stunned, causing the vest to deactivate for a brief amount of time.

Xtreme Laser Tag asks that all players respect their equipment. Please don't abuse or damage the equipment. If you experience any problems with the equipment, please notify the employees immediately.

Don't forget to check your phaser! Your phaser displays important information on the screen. The screen displays your vest name (used to identify yourself after the game), time left in the game, your rank, and number of shields and photons remaining.
